An Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) is a small, portable device used to identify cardiac rhythms and deliver a shock to correct abnormal electrical activity in the heart. The use of an AED in public settings helps saves lives and the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park Association, in partnership with the Comox Firefighters Association is one of the most recent organizations to make one available for public access. The Filberg Park location is currently one of thirty-five plus public access AEDs available in the Comox Valley (see map).
Contact Comox Fire Rescue at firehall@comox.ca if you have any questions about the Public Access Defibrillation program.
